Nichido Pressed Powder: A Budget-Friendly Option for Oily Skin? šŸ¤”

Today, Iā€™ll be sharing my experience with Nichido Pressed Powder. After testing various foundations recently, I found that some just donā€™t have the staying power I need. Thatā€™s where a good pressed powder comes in, providing that essential top layer to set and mattify makeup. With oily skin in mind, I set out to find a powder that could help keep my makeup intact.

First Impressions

According to the sales lady, Nichido Pressed Powder is a solid choice for oil control, and at ā‚±100, itā€™s definitely worth a try! However, after just 2-3 hours, I noticed that the powder began to slide off my T-zone. Unfortunately, I donā€™t want to be blotting my face throughout the day.

According to the sales lady, this is a good oil control product. For 100 pesos, it's definitely worth a try. However, after 2-3 hours, the powder slides off my T-zone. And No, I'm not willing to blot every now and then.

Packaging

The powder comes in a sturdy, sleek blue compact that includes a generous mirrorā€”great for on-the-go touch-ups! The packaging is simple yet functional.

Product Claims

The box describes the powder as follows:

  • Fine textured, matte finish: Aims to make your skin look smooth, natural, and flawless.
  • Perfect for touch-ups: Designed for easy application throughout the day.

When I swatched this powder, I was amazed by its pigmentation. It provides a matte finish that is good with dewy foundations. Though the coverage is really nice, I find it chalky and cannot control oil. Nakaka enhance pa ng eyebags.

Performance

Upon swatching, I was initially impressed by the pigmentation; it provides a nice matte finish that pairs well with dewy foundations. However, I found it to be somewhat chalky and lacking in oil control. Additionally, it tends to enhance my under-eye bags, which is not the look Iā€™m going for!

Overall Impression

Sadly, despite the hype surrounding this product, it didnā€™t meet my expectations. While Nichido Pressed Powder may work for some, I personally didnā€™t find it effective for my oily skin.
