L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation has garnered quite the buzz for its impressive coverage at an affordable price. If you have oily skin, you might wonder: Is it worth the hype? Let’s dive into my review!

Shades and Price

I’m currently using two shades: 104 Golden Beige and 103 Natural Buff. The price is around ₱700, making it accessible for most beauty enthusiasts.

Packaging

The foundation comes in a convenient squeeze-tube, containing 30 ml of product. This travel-friendly design means you won’t have to worry about spills or breakage in your bag—perfect for on-the-go touch-ups!

Coverage and Consistency

This foundation instantly provides a smooth, even skin tone, effectively concealing redness around the nose and brightening dark under-eye areas. It truly brings life to a tired face!

In terms of consistency, it works well with both buffing brushes and sponges. However, be cautious not to overload your application, as it can become cakey. Start with a small amount, buff it out, and then add more to achieve your desired coverage. It’s wonderfully buildable!

One of the standout features of this foundation is its long-lasting formula. After a hectic train ride and six hours of sun exposure during fieldwork, my makeup held up surprisingly well. Even after sweating, you could still tell I was wearing makeup!

A Few Tips for Application

  1. Moisturize: This foundation sets quickly and can be drying. A good moisturizer will help prevent dry patches and give your skin a lively glow—nobody wants a flat matte look!

  2. Use a Primer: A good primer will blur large pores and fine lines, enhancing the foundation's beautiful finish.

  3. Work Quickly and Layer: Warm up the product with your fingers before applying. If you prefer using a brush, ensure you blend well to avoid streaks. If you struggle with application, a sponge is a great alternative.

  4. Set with Powder: Finish off with a translucent or setting powder to lock everything in place.

You will observe that without moisturizer and multiple layers of this foundation can actually make you look like its El Nino.
