Review: Loreal True Match Foundation

Image
L'Oreal  released their reformulated True Match foundation. Of course, we've heard a lot of hypes on original True Match Foundation so the expectation for the reformulated one is kinda greater.  If I remember it correctly, I bought them during the Sale week in SM for P 400. The foundation comes in a squarish and sturdish glass bottle with a pump. The two (2) shades that I got are N3 Nude Vanilla and G1 Gold Ivory. The one I always use is the Gold Ivory. It suits me best. First and foremost, I want to inform you that this foundation has shimmers. It's not too much, just enough to give you a dewy look when skin is dry and under cold conditions; and sweaty when oily and humid. It's not everyday that you get good cold office conditions. If you commute a lot and you travel by series of  Jeepneys  and full packed train then I would say this will upset you. There was this one time, when I went out to conduct site inspection. One of my ...

Review: Fashion 21 Foundation

Beauty doesn't necessarily mean vanity. Applying makeup in order to look fresh and appealing isn't mere attracting of eyes for attention. Personally, I believe it shows grace amidst the stressful environment and how well we manage ourselves despite the busy schedule. Now, there are a lot of products out there to conceal our weariness and one of them is a foundation.  Foundation gives our face a good canvass. It holds other products we wish to apply. Similar in construction of a building, the foundation should be at its finest performance because it is the base. It holds everything above. Basically, this product should stick nicely on the face for hours and withstand heat and sweat. There are different types of foundation. There's the powder, two-way cake, cream and liquid. There are also ones for oily and dry skin type and the coverage it provides vary from sheer to full. As full time student and part-time entrepreneur, sleepless nights is as normal as blinking. C...

Review: Suesh Hi-Def Foundation Pots

Image
Final's week is over! (*Screams " One week vacation here I come !") Graduation is more visible and I can smell more makeup post  for the next term. Sweet huh?  Today's product review is on  Suesh Hi-Def Foundation in pots . I posted a haul weeks ago and it is only today that I managed to make a review. Again, they're in pots, meaning you can't just throw away the plastic container and place them inside your makeup bag. It will really be dirty down there, scraping the product out. Since I got myself a wild peach   magnettic palette, I placed them there together with the other pots of lipstick, concealer and eyeshadows. In t his way, I'm actually customizing. Nobody wants to waste money on a palette wherein you won't be using everything in it. Right? Net weight: 22 g At the back, you will find the ingredients. For the coverage, I must say that it is creamy, thick and the finish is dewy. It offers heavy coverage, but m...

Finals week is finally over! ( Screams "One week vacation here I come!" ) 🎉 Graduation is right around the corner, and I can already smell all the makeup posts lined up for the next term. Sweet, huh? Today, I’m excited to review the Suesh Hi-Def Foundation in pots. I teased this product in a haul a few weeks ago, and I'm thrilled to share my thoughts with you now! Packaging and Customization The Suesh Hi-Def Foundation comes in sturdy pots, which means you can’t just toss them into your makeup bag without some forethought. If you do, expect a mess as you scrape out the product! To keep things organized, I placed them in my wild peach magnetic palette alongside other pots of lipstick, concealer, and eyeshadows. This way, I’m customizing my palette to suit my needs. Nobody wants to waste money on a palette full of products they won't use, right? Net Weight : 22 g Ingredients On the back of the pot, you’ll find a detailed list of ingredients, which is always ...

Review: TNC Cream Foundation

Image
Summer is definitely the season where I lock myself in my room and wish there is number 7 on the fan. This scorching heat is killing me. I cannot simply risk going out and be sweaty with ruined foundation on my face.  The problem is, all of my foundations are all medium to full coverage.  Using them during this summer with more than 35 degree Celsius is a bad idea. I love the whole look, but it gives me the feeling of wearing a washable cement. It's a face battle between sweat and makeup on who stays. With all this vanity problem, I have to look for another product that is skin breathable.  I  opted for TNC cream foundation with SPF 15.  The cream foundation comes in two shades. One is old rose (Pink undertone) and the other is peach (Yellow Undertone).  TNC is a beauty shop in Olongapo City near YBC super market. For the swatches,  I hope you could see the difference. They did a great job blending on the sk...

Review: Revlon Colorstay Foundation

Image
A lot of bloggers are giving positive feedback on the Revlon Colorstay foundation. Although there's more than 100 blogs hyping it, I can't simply pick it up. There are hundred makeup brands and some of them maybe be better. They just don't get the online attention. Since I am urgently looking for a good liquid foundation, I opted for this one. I bought two shades of the said foundation at the Super Sale Bazaar at SMX Moa last Oct.23. The shades are in 300 Golden Beige and 150 Buff    For the packaging, it is in a glass bottle. You have to twist the cap to open it. To get the product you have to either pour a little at the back of your hand or get a spatula. Here's how the two shades of the foundation looks when applied on the skin. As you can see, it's definitely matte. The product easily dries up so you have to blend it on the face quickly. Based from the photo above, my natural skin color (hand basis) shade is somewhere between golden b...

Review: San San Matte Foundation

Image
Since I wanted to find a cheap but quality foundation, I opted for San San Matte foundation.A lot of bloggers gave this product a hype. With that, I wanted to try it out it to check if it is really long wearing. Well, I have been doing makeup and tried them already to a set of girls. You see, it is really hard to tell whether a product is good or not if you get to try it only to yourself.  I got three shades out of 4.  The shade identification is in number. I got 1,2 and 4. Actually, shades 2 and 3 are very hard to find. They're always out of stock. I went to quiapo and robinsons ermita but they were all  out.  This foundation has no pump but instead it has a spatula. It is very unhygienic to always open the cap and expose the product inside. What do you expect for a product at P132?  From right to left: shades 1,2 and 4. This product is very thick. I suggest you get the right shade because if not, you'll look like you'r...

Image
I have been searching for a foundation that will best suit Filipina skin. To add, a product that can withstand heat and will stick on the face. Well, I have been reading blogs and majority were giving a positive feedback on HBC's matte foundation. That explains me buying three shades of the said product for testing. P100 Will post a product review soon :)

REVIEW: L.A Girl Perfecting Liquid Makeup

Image
L.A Girl Perfecting Liquid Makeup (P231). I wanted to try products from L.A Girl Cosmetic line so i bought the Perfecting Liquid Make Up in Natural. As stated in the cover, it is oil free with vitamins C & E - which is great for oily/combination skin. Its pump Photo Credit:   http://www.lagirlusa.com/Perfecting-Liquid-Makeup-1.html Light to medium coverage. Matte.  If you're going to an air conditioned room or somewhere cold then i'll say " Yes, you may use this ". It does give that obviously makeup manipulated doll-look (if that is what they mean by glowing perfection). Personally, i think it's okay to look like you did prepared to go out.  According to the sales lady, all the products manufactured from this cosmetic line are all mineral - so thumbs up. XD  Sale for P231! Awesome deal. Dries fast so you should be very quick in blending or applying. After 3 hours, i have to retouch or put on powder because my t-z...
